I haven’t photographed a wedding here yet, but I definitely want to because I’ve always been someone who loves things that feel different. I’ve never really been drawn to normal, and honestly, this venue feels like it was made for couples who feel the same way.
I’m a total nerd myself. I love gaming, anime and manga! Now, ask me about Star Wars and I may not know a thing or two, but you can absolutely teach me lol. I would genuinely love listening to you explain the characters, the lore and why you love it so much.
That’s one of the reasons I would love photographing a wedding here. It would be so nice to work with couples who connect with me on that same kind of level. People who love video games, manga, Marvel, Star Wars, space, science or anything else they could talk about for hours.
Who Is an Orlando Science Center Wedding For?
Honestly, people like me.
Gamers. Anime lovers. Manga readers. Marvel fans. Star Wars fans. Dinosaur people. Space people. Couples who have never pictured themselves getting married inside a traditional ballroom or another barn.
But you don’t have to be obsessed with science or plan a completely themed wedding to get married here.
Maybe you simply want a venue that feels playful, unexpected and completely outside the norm. Maybe you want wedding photos that look different from everyone else’s. Or maybe you just want your guests to walk in and immediately think, “Wait, they’re getting married here?!”
That is exactly what makes the Orlando Science Center so cool.
Why This Venue Immediately Stood Out to Me
One thing about me is that I have never really been drawn to normal.
I love things that have personality. I love places that give you something to look at, something to talk about and something that makes people stop and say, “Wait, you can get married here?”
That is exactly how I feel about the Orlando Science Center.
It is not just a plain room that you have to completely transform before it starts feeling like your wedding. The venue already has so much going on, and that gives you the freedom to lean into the things you actually love. Or you can simply let the venue speak for itself and enjoy being somewhere that already feels different.
Your Wedding Does Not Have to Feel Like a Theme Party
Getting married at the Orlando Science Center does not mean everything has to be covered in dinosaurs, planets and science decorations.
Unless that is exactly what you want, because honestly, that could also be super fun.
You can still have soft florals, romantic outfits, emotional vows and all the traditional parts of a wedding that matter to you. The science center can simply be the cool background that makes everything feel a little less expected.
I actually love the idea of mixing softer wedding details with the darker lighting, huge exhibits and unexpected parts of the museum. That contrast could look so good in photos.
Why Finding the Right Orlando Science Center Wedding Photographer Matters
This is not the kind of venue where I would want to photograph everything exactly the same way all day.
There are going to be changes in lighting, darker rooms, colorful displays and different textures throughout the building. Your photographer needs to feel comfortable using flash, working with low light and adjusting quickly as the day moves through different parts of the venue.
More importantly, you should have someone who understands why you chose this place.
That connection matters because your wedding photographer is around you for so much of the day. It is nice to have someone there who gets the excitement and does not make you feel like you need to tone yourself down.
What Working With Me Would Feel Like
- You do not need to know how to pose or perform for the camera.
- The random conversations, inside jokes and little moments that were not written into the timeline.
- Your family reacting during the ceremony.
- I would be paying attention to the things happening around you too.
- Those are the photos that help you remember what the day actually felt like.
