If you’re looking for engagement session locations in Ocala, Florida, you actually have more options than you might think. From gardens and springs to downtown streets and nearby waterfront spots, there are so many places that can fit the way you want your engagement photos to feel.
Silver Springs State Park
If you want your engagement photos to feel very Florida without immediately going straight to the beach, Silver Springs is such a good option.
There’s so much variety here with the water, greenery, boardwalks, trails, and all of the natural scenery around the park. I especially love it for couples who want something romantic and relaxed but still want their photos to have a little bit of adventure to them.
You can move around during the session and get completely different backgrounds without having to leave the park, which is always a win.
Best for: Nature, greenery, old Florida, relaxed and romantic photos.

Sholom Park
Sholom Park is one of those locations that works for so many different couples.
There are gardens, walking paths, open grassy areas, trees, flowers, and plenty of little spots to stop along the way. It gives your gallery a softer and more romantic feeling without making everything look overly formal.
Best for: Gardens, romantic photos, greenery, soft and colorful engagement sessions.

Downtown Ocala
If parks and gardens aren’t really your thing, Downtown Ocala gives you something completely different.
I love using the streets, buildings, parking areas, crosswalks, and little corners around downtown to make the session feel more like we’re just hanging out together rather than staying in one spot the entire time.
Best for: Casual, editorial, city-inspired, playful and date-night engagement photos.

Lake Sumter Landing
Okay, technically this one isn’t in Ocala, but I had to include it because it gives you such a different look from everything else on this list.
Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages has that cute town-square feeling mixed with waterfront views, shops, walkable streets, and plenty of spots where we can move around during your session.
I really like this one for couples who want their engagement photos to feel like a night out together.
Best for: Date-night photos, waterfront views, town-square scenery and couples who want something different.

Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens
Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens is such a beautiful option if you want your engagement photos to feel colorful, romantic, and surrounded by greenery. With waterfalls, bridges, flowers, ponds, and so many little areas to explore, there is plenty of variety for your session without having to leave the property.
Best for: Garden lovers, colorful photos, waterfalls, greenery, and romantic engagement sessions

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens
Kanapaha Botanical Gardens is a great option if you want lots of greenery with a little more variety than a traditional park. Between the bamboo, flowers, walking paths, water features, and different garden areas, you can get a lot of different looks during one engagement session.
Best for: Botanical gardens, greenery, colorful photos, and couples who want lots of variety.
Venetian Gardens
Venetian Gardens in Leesburg is such a pretty option if you love greenery but also want water in your engagement photos. With Lake Harris, bridges, walking paths, large trees, and waterfront views, you can get a mix of relaxed park photos and romantic lakeside photos all in one location.
Best for: Waterfront photos, greenery, bridges, and relaxed romantic engagement sessions.
Mount Dora Historic District
Downtown Mount Dora is such a fun option if you want your engagement session to feel more like a date night. You can walk around the historic streets, use the colorful buildings and storefronts, and then head toward the lake for a completely different look without having to travel far.
Best for: Date night sessions, downtown photos, historic streets, casual photos, and couples who want something a little different.
Grantham Pointe
Grantham Pointe is such a cute option if you want something a little different for your engagement photos. The red and white lighthouse sits right on Lake Dora, giving you waterfront views, greenery, and one of the most recognizable little photo spots in Mount Dora.
Best for: Waterfront photos, sunsets, lighthouse views, and couples who want a fun Florida feel without going to the beach.
