Sholom Park Engagement Photos in Ocala, Florida

If you are looking for an engagement photo location in Ocala with greenery, beautiful light, and plenty of different spots to work with, Sholom Park is one of my favorites.

I have photographed here quite a few times, and I keep coming back for a reason. The park gives you so much variety without having to travel all over the place. There are open grassy areas, tree covered paths, gardens, and little pockets of greenery that can make your gallery feel like you went to multiple locations.

For this engagement session, we started surrounded by all of that lush Florida greenery and worked our way around the park as the light started getting softer.

Why I Love Sholom Park for Engagement Photos

One of the biggest reasons I recommend Sholom Park is how easy it is to create completely different looks within one session.

We can start somewhere tucked into the greenery for something more intimate, move into an open area when the sun starts coming through, and then use the pathways and trees as the light changes.

It is also the kind of location where you do not need a huge setup or props to make the photos interesting. The park already gives us texture, movement, and plenty of natural backgrounds to work with.

And when the sun hits just right, the golden light here is SO good.

An Engagement Session That Still Feels Like You

Engagement photos do not have to feel overly posed the entire time.

During this session, we mixed in the more romantic portraits with movement, laughing, walking together, and little moments in between so the gallery had a lot of variety.

I will still guide you throughout the session, but I also want you two interacting with each other instead of feeling like you are constantly performing for the camera.

That is usually where some of my favorite photos happen.
